Katherine and Jamie said their "I do's" with the timeless tradition of a string quartet for their wedding, with a twist: the Sweet Harmony String Quartet surprised the guests with songs by Drake, Taylor Swift, John Legend, Journey, and more! We drove from Memphis to the beautiful countryside of Gibson County to play at White Oaks Farm. Zoë and Alexander opted for the classical elegance of a solo violinist for their wedding in downtown Memphis. The ceremony took place in the stunning indoor space at 409 South Main. Mario performed a program of beautiful modern love songs, some Beatles, and a touch of classical music for the couple and their guests. Officiating was Rabbi Rony Keller, and photographer Kristin Leigh documented the event to perfection!

About Mario

Violinist/violist Mario Williams earned his B.M. in Viola Performance from the University of Memphis. His orchestral experience includes performances with the Delta Symphony Orchestra, Iris Orchestra, North Mississippi Orchestra, Jackson TN Symphony Orchestra, and Starkville Symphony Orchestra. With a background in hip-hop and fiddle playing, Mario is a versatile musician well prepared to play in any setting. He won a fiddling competition in Columbus, MS, and he has performed with hip-hop artist Tyke T. He is a sub in the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and is an active freelance musician in the Memphis area. He can also be heard on film documentaries including "The Memphis 13" and some albums with Tyke T and various local artists.
